DIVIDEND
- Distribution of a corporate earnings to a class of its shareholders, as per the board of directors. In the form of cash, stock, or property, it is most frequently quoted in terms of the amount every shares receives, or dividends per shares. This can also be quoted in terms of the percentage of the prevailing market price called dividend yield. Also called Dividend Per Share (DPS).
