DOLLARIZATION
Situation in which the citizens of a nation use a foreign currency as legal tender, officially or unofficially, for conducting transactions. It aims to greatly stabilize the value of a foreign currency than the domestic currency. However, the country using this practice loses its right to influence its own monetary policy by changing the money supply.
