DOUBLE TAXING
Tax on tax; tax law where the same earnings is subjected to taxation twice. The firm’s earnings is initially taxed at the corporate level, then the shareholders and investors are taxed on the distributions from the company. Many argues this taxation method is unfair and inefficient in several countries and jurisdictions.
