Tax law which introduced some of the most significant changes to retirement plans to stimulate the economy. Changes include increased contributions and deductibility limits for IRA and employer-sponsored plans, and also expanded the portability rules for retirement plans in general. Aside from that, it escalated the estate-tax exclusion and the generation-skipping transfer-tax exemption amounts.
