EMBEDDED OPTION
Clause in a security which gives either the issuer or the investor the right to perform certain action in the future. It is a special condition attached to a security which does not trade by itself. Nevertheless, it influences the value of the security of which it is a component. The security is not restricted to one embedded option, as there may be many embedded options in a security.
