EMBEDDED VALUE
Valuation gauge used outside North America, specifically in the insurance industry. It is computed by taking the sum of the adjusted net asset value and the current value of future profits of a company. The current value of future profits takes on the possible profits the shareholders will receive in the future while the adjusted net asset value considers the funds from the shareholders which have been taken in the past.
