EQUITY PARTICIPATION
Ownership of shares in a firm or property, which may entail purchasing of shares via options or by enabling partial ownership for a financing. The higher the equity participation rate, the greater the percentage of shares owned by shareholders. Allowing stakeholders to own shares match their success with that of the firm or real estate investment. On that note, a more profitable firm will give shareholders greater gains.
