ESTIMATED CURRENT RETURN
Approximate return for a unit investment trust over the short-term, which is calculated by getting the valuated annual interest income from the securities of the investment portfolio and dividing it by the highest public offering price, net of the largest sales charge for the trust. The gauge is less precise than the estimated long-term return and is more vulnerable to interest rate perils during the portfolio’s lifespan.
