EUROPEAN FINANCIAL STABILITY FACILITY - EFSF
Organization providing assistance to member states with unsteady economies. Created by the European Union, it is a special purpose vehicle regulated by the European Investment Bank. The fund generates money by issuing debt and distributes the money to eurozone nations whose lending institutions need recapitalization, managing their sovereign debt, or financial stabilization.
