EV/2P RATIO
Valuation of oil and gas firms. It is computed by dividing the enterprise value by the proven and probable (2P) reserves owned by the firm. The enterprise value shows the firm’s total value while proven and probable pertains to geologic reserves which can possibly be recovered. This is identified through geological and engineering modeling.
