EXON-FLORIO PROVISION
Provision allowing the President of the United States to defer or block the foreign acquisition of a US-based firm to ensure national security. It only allows the acquisition to be blocked if there is a clear evidence the foreign acquiring party could endanger national security by controlling the acquired firm and the provisions of law don’t give sufficient authority for the US to guard national security.
