GREEN CHIP STOCKS
Stocks or shares of firms whose primary business is environment-friendly. In general, these are likely to focus in areas such as alternative energy, carbon abatement, pollution control, and recycling. While the term comes from the phrase blue chip, normally a green chip may experience profitability challenges and its financial structure is less steady than a blue chip. However, despite these issue, such stocks attract significant interest from investors who are attracted to their green proposition and potential to become future market leaders in an escalating environment-conscious world.
