GUIDANCE
Information given by a company that provides an indication on the firm’s outlook in terms of its future earnings. Positive or negative, it is an "expected results" from a firm to its shareholders and market watchers as to how they visualize a future period turning out. Usually, it includes revenue estimates, earnings, margins, and capital spending estimates. Also called earnings guidance.
