GUNS AND BUTTER CURVE
Classic curve of the production possibility curve, showing the theoretical construction of opportunity cost. In an economy with only two goods, a decision must be made on how much of each good to be produced. When an economy produces more guns (military spending), it should cut down its butter (food) production, and vice versa.
