IMPULSE WAVE PATTERN
Part of the Elliott wave theory describing the strong move in a stock’s price that coincides with the main direction of the underlying trend in the stock market. Waves or surges of movement can appear in similar direction as the overall trend of the stock market over time, regardless if upward or downward.
