IMPUTED INTEREST
An interest assumed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that have been paid for tax purposes. Although no interest payment was actually made, IRS use this as an instrument to collect tax revenues on securities or loans that do not pay interest or the declared interest is very low. It is computed based on the payments to be or have not been paid.
