INCOME FROM OPERATIONS - IFO
Profits generated from a business’ regular operations, excluding income from other sources. Discarding changes in outside circumstances, average income from operations in previous years is often presumed to be a reliable indicator of earnings in the future. For instance, IFO can exclude income realized from selling a manufacturing firm’s facility.
