INTEREST SENSITIVE STOCK
Refers to a stock price that is terribly sensitive to any change in interest rates. If interest rates increase, there will be a big price change in relation to minimal movements in the risk-free rate. High beta stocks, which measures a stock price’s movement in connection to the overall market, will frequently be somewhat rate sensitive. As the capital asset pricing model implies, high beta stocks will notice larger changes once the risk-free rate moves.
