INTERESTED SHAREHOLDER
A shareholder or group of shareholders with beneficial ownership, direct or indirect, of enough voting stock to influence the company’s decisions. The concept assumes there is no majority shareholder. The actual percentage of stock a beneficial shareholder must posses depends based on the state or the country’s jurisdiction, but normally, the range is about 20% of all outstanding shares.
