A risky and highly speculative investment strategy in which investors purchase a stock before doing due diligence. Also known as investing first and researching next, this is frequently used by individuals who have either a baseless huddle that a security’s price will move in a specific direction or acted on impulse. An individual will do research after he opens a position and decides either to hold or close it. Opposite of investigate, then invest.
