IRREVOCABLE LETTER OF CREDIT - ILOC
Correspondence given by a bank guaranteeing payment for products and services acquired by the individual requesting the letter. Also called irrevocable credit, it cannot be cancelled or changed without permission by the affected parties involved. ILOCs take effect only for a defined time period and expire at a pre-determined point.
