ISRAEL KIRZNER

Foremost Austrian economist and professor emeritus of economics at New York University. He is known for his work in the economics of knowledge and entrepreneurship, as well as the ethics of markets. While studying, he was schooled by Ludwig von Mises, another leading Austrian economist. Kirzner has also written and edited several books and articles including The Meaning of Market Process, Competition and Entrepreneurship; and Perception, Opportunity, and Profit, among others.
