JAMES E. MEADE

A British economist and recipient of the 1977 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, together with Swedish economist Bertil Ohlin, for his works on the international trade and international capital movements. In his research, Meade studied how government policies influenced trade and how trades affected an economic well-being. This Keynesian economist worked twice in the government. His research dwelt on economic policy in Britain after World War II. His other research was about mass unemployment.
