LABOR-SPONSORED VENTURE CAPITAL CORPORATIONS - LSVCC
A fund-managed Canadian corporation created by a labor union, which aims to provide investment or venture capital to small and medium companies. Unlike other venture capital corporations, the corporation is bounded with strict regulations and regulated by the Canadian government. Also, the federal government and some provincial governments give tax credits to LSVCC capitalists for the growth of these companies.
Also called labour-sponsored investment fund (LSIF) and simply retail venture capital (RVC).
