LARGE VALUE TRANSFER SYSTEM - LVTS
An electronic wire payment system in Canada that lets financial institutions and their clients to send large funds in real time, including the Bank of Canada. Launched in 1999, it can perform fast transactions for banks and their customers. But the transaction is final and irrevocable once it is sent through their system. This type of system avoids fraud, insufficient funds, and stop payments, as well as to close short and long positions.
