LEAD BANK
An investment bank that oversees the process of underwriting a security and responsible for the scheme of loan syndication. This bank is paid an additional fee for the extra services, which includes recruiting members and arranging the financing terms. Also, it serves as an agent capacity for an underwriting syndicate in the eurobond market.
They are also referred to as lead manager or managing underwriter.
