LEGAL LENDING LIMIT
The aggregate amount of capital a national bank can lend to a borrower, which is determined by evaluating the financial condition of both the lending institution and the borrower. Legal lending limits varies from one bank to another. As defined in the Financial Institution Act of 1989, all savings and loan institution have a legal lending limit.
