LEO F. MULLIN

A former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Delta Air Lines, Inc. His career started with consulting firm McKinsey and became the first CEO outside Delta in 1997, and chairman in 1999. Then he left the CEO post in 2003 and was chairman in 2004. Initially, he helped the company in improving its finances but on the latter part of his tenure, he struggled with increased labor and fuel costs, aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, controversial executive pay and employee wage cuts, and massive layoffs. Mullin, born in Massachusetts in 1943, obtained his AB, Masters, and MBA degrees in Harvard University. He is also affiliated with Museum of Natural History and Chicago Chamber of Commerce.
