LIFE EXPECTANCY
- Average life span; the age that an individual is expected to live. Country of residence, family medical history, gender, lifestyle habits such as eating, drinking, smoking, exercise, and sleep patterns are some factors to be looked at when calculating the average life expectancy of a person.
- Remaining number of years a person is expected to live, based on issued IRS life expectancy tables. For calculating the required minimum distribution (RMD), the life expectancy is determined by the age of an individual at present.
