The 1990s for Japan; United States’ first decade of the present millenium. It initially describes the Japanese economy in the last decade of the past millenium. This also refers to the state of the US economy from 2000 to 2009, as economic snap in the middle of that decade was not sufficient to correct the effects of two big recessions in the start and end of that decade.
