LOW VOLUME PULLBACK
A technical correction towards a support area that happens in lower than average volumes. The low volume signals traders the prevailing trend is not inverting and it is only the weak years looking to lock in a swift profit. Frequent moves that take place in a direction opposite to the trend, accompanied by low volume, are usual fluctuations and deemed to be insignificant. Conversely, a huge spike in volume in the other direction of the trend might be used to signal the smart money is beginning to look for the exits and the trend is preparing to reverse.
