MACRO ACCOUNTING
A method used to measure the total economic activities of a country or region by analyzing major indicators like gross national product, consumer price index, unemployment rate, and national debt. The macro accounting becomes the basis for the official statistics released periodically, which summarizes a country’s economic development and performance and provides a whole economic picture, not focusing on individuals or single companies.
Also called national accounting.
