MACRO RISK
A political activity in a host country which affects all foreign operations that do business in the said country. These political risks may stem from events that may or may not be in the government’s control. In this type of political risk, the government is likely to usurp foreign operations, regardless of industry. But companies can mitigate potential losses by purchasing political insurance from several organizations.
