MANAGER UNIVERSE BENCHMARK
A peer group of investment managers with the same investment style; often used for comparing and evaluating the performances of money managers that is done periodically. It aims to main competitiveness and to determine a money manager’s performance. One aspect of this analysis is the returns each fund yields. But this practice is said to be contentious because every money manager has his or her own investment styles, which changes every now and then, and is subject to survivorship bias.
