MARGINAL COST OF FUNDS
Cost of funding additional loan to finance another asset purchases or investments. In other words, the interest rate on new loan balance. This is different from average cost of funds where it was computed by getting the average of all interest rates of the combined loans. It is not only limited in terms of borrowing money from someone; it also pertains to borrowing money from oneself or a firm’s own assets.
