MARITIME LAW
Law, conventions, and treaties that deals with international private businesses or other related matters such as ships, shipping, or crimes happening on open water. Laws between countries that govern these things as national versus international waters are regarded as public international law and known as Law of the Seas. In most developed countries, the law is governed by a separate code and has a independent jurisdiction from national laws.
