MARKET PERFORM
An investment rating used by market analysts to indicate a security will provide returns like those of the Standard & Poor’s 500 or other major market averages.
Also called peer perform, it is a balanced stock assessment and is neither strongly positive nor negative. But if the stock has experienced a period of market underperformance, it signifies the stock is anticipated to enhance its performance, in relation to market averages.
