A committee, a group of specialists and allied members of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), that are behind the effective and orderly trading market. The committee is responsible for assigning new or existing issues to these specialists. They can also evaluate specialists if they have a poor performance and reassign specialists based on their performance.
