MARRIED PUT
A portfolio strategy where an investor, who holds a long position in stock, buys shares of a stock to act as an insurance against depreciation in the stock’s price, and at the same time places enough options to cover the shares. In a more essential explanation, married put is similar to purchasing insurance for the stock.
