MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY
A tax filing status that indicates a married couple is filing two tax returns separately, one for every individual. Most of the time, married filing separately results to most tax savings especially if both have different income levels. This is also preferable if one spouse has casualty losses, significant medical expenses, or miscellaneous itemized deductions.
