MICKY ARISON

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Carnival Corporation, a British-American multinational cruise company. In 2010, Arison bought the NBA team Miami Heat. Born in Israel in 1949, he dropped out of college to begin working in the sales department of the cruise operator that was established by his father, Ted Arison, in 1972. He was the President in 1979 and aided the company go public in 1987. He became Chairman and CEO since 1990.

He has lead the company in various acquisitions of other cruise lines, such as Holland America, Seabourn, Cunard, Costa Cruises, and Princess, which enlarged the company into the luxury cruise market and gave it around 50% market share. He has also helped its cruises to operate often at full occupancy, elevating the company's profitability.
