MINIMUM PRICE CONTRACT
A futures contract with a price floor upon delivery the underlying agricultural commodity. It allows sellers to denote a minimum price for agricultural commodities such as grain, while taking advantage of price escalations in case the market rallies. It indicates the quantity, minimum price, and delivery period for a certain commodity, as well as the time period in which the seller has the chance to take advantage of proliferating market prices.
