MORRIS CHANG

Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd. Chang began his career with Texas Instruments where he worked for 25 years. He became the Group Vice President responsible for global semiconductor business. Then in 1984, he was the President and Chief Operating Officer of General Instrument Corporation. He left the firm to spearhead Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute and refine the semiconductor industry in the country. His experiences led him to start his own semiconductor company in 1987.
