MORTGAGE FORBEARANCE AGREEMENT
A contractual arrangement a mortgage lender and delinquent borrower where the lender won’t exercise its legal right to foreclose on a mortgage and the borrower will catch up on payments over a certain time period. Not a long-term solution, it is for borrowers with temporary financial problems caused by unforeseen problems such as health problems or temporary unemployment.
