MORTGAGE POOL
Group of mortgages placed into the same investment vehicle and held as collateral for issuing mortgage-backed security. Securities released by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae considered as pools, these are the simplest kind of mortgage-backed security. These are called pass-throughs and being traded in to-be-announced (TBA) forward market.
