MULTI-LEVEL MARKETING
A strategy used by certain direct sales companies in order to encourage their existing distributors to bring in new distributors by giving the existing distributors a commission from their recruits’ sales. The recruits are the distributor’s downline. Distributors also generate money via direct sales of products to their clients. Amway is an example of a popular direct sales company that employs multi-level marketing.
