MULTIPLE DISCRIMINANT ANALYSIS - MDA
A statistical technique used to lower the differences between variables in order to group these into a set number of broad groups. In finance, this is employed to narrow down the variance between securities and permits the individual to look for many variables at the same time. It is related to discriminant analysis where it categorizes a data set by setting a rule or choosing a value that will give the most meaningful separation.
