NATIONAL BANK SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM
It was established and implemented in 1975 through the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency or OCC, which mainly collects data and assesses national banks’ financial performance. It identifies and warns banks in that are in financial trouble. Its quarterly Bank Performance Report compares every bank to a group of its peers to get a precise picture of banks' performances.
