NET FOREIGN ASSETS
This term refers to the overseas assets value owned by country, minus the domestic assets value owned by foreigners. NFA determines if a country is a net debtor or creditor to the rest of the world. When a country has a positive NFA balance, it shows that it is a net lender, while when it has a negative NFA balance, it shows it is a net borrower.
