For a company, net worth is the total assets less liabilities. It is an important factor to determine the value of a company. This is also known as the owner’s equity or net assets.
For an individual, net worth is the value of assets of a person, including cash, less all liabilities. It is the amount whereby assets of an individual exceed his or her liabilities.
